هدف البحث إلى التعرف على درجة مشاركة طلاب عمادة السنة التحضيرية بجامعة نجران في الأنشطة الطلابية من وجهة نظرهم وعلاقته ببعض المتغيرات مستخدمين المنهج الوصفي حيث تم تطبيق استبانة اشتملت على خمس محاور تمثل أسباب عزوف الطلاب عن المشاركة في الأنشطة الطلابية وهي أسباب ترجع إلى الطالب، والإمكانات والتجهيزات، والبيئة التعليمية، والقائمين على الأنشطة الطلابية، وطبيعة النشاط الطلابي بالعمادة على عينة عشوائية مكونة من (125) طالب من طلاب السنة التحضيرية. وأشارت النتائج إلى أن (89%) من طلاب السنة التحضيرية جامعة نجران غير مشاركين في الأنشطة الطلابية. وأن أهم أسباب عزوف طلاب السنة التحضيرية بجامعة نجران عن المشاركة في الأنشطة الطلابية من وجهة نظر الطلاب أنفسهم هي نصيحة الزملاء بالاهتمام بالتحصيل وعدم الاكتراث للأنشطة الطلابية بمتوسط حسابي وأنه لا توجد علاقة بين المستوى الدراسي للطالب في السنة التحضيرية ومكان إقامته وبين المشاركة في الأنشطة الطلابية ولذلك توصي الدراسة بضرورة تخصيص درجات للطلاب لتحفيز الطلاب على المشاركة في الأنشطة الطلابية، وتخصيص مقر محدد ومعلن للأنشطة الطلابية بالعمادة، وتصميم دليل يوضح الأنشطة الطلابية وأهدافها بالعمادة، وعمل ندوات توضح أهمية المشاركة في الأنشطة الطلابية. The aim of the research is to identify the degree of participation for students of the preparatory year at Najran University in student activities from their point of view and its relationship to some variables using the descriptive approach. Where a questionnaire was applied that included five aspects representing the reasons for the students' reluctance to participate in student activities. These reasons are due to the student, the capabilities and equipment, the educational environment, and those in charge of student activities, and the nature of student activity at the Deanship were conducted on a random sample of (125) preparatory year students. The results indicated that 89% of the preparatory year students at Najran University did not participate in the student activities. And that the most important reasons for the reluctance of the preparatory year students at the University of Najran from participating in student activities from the point of view of the students themselves is the advice of colleagues to pay attention to achievement and indifference to student activities with an arithmetic average and that there is no relationship between the academic level of the student in the preparatory year and his place of residence and participation in student activities. Therefore, the current study recommends the need to assign grades to motivate students to participate in activities, Allocating a specific and announced headquarters for the student activities of the Deanship. Designing a guide explaining the student activities and their goals in the Deanship, conducting seminars explaining the importance of participating in student activities. (Published abstract)
