يهدف هذا المقال إلى إثراء الصدى على مدى تأثير النقل الناتج عن الاختلاف بين اللغة العربية والإنجليزية في استعمال حروف الجر الإنجليزية عند الطلبة الجزائريين. لهذا الغرض تم اللجوء إلى وسائل إحصائية استنتاجية كمية لتحليل اختبار طبق على الطلبة. أوضحت نتائج الدراسة أن اللغة العربية قد تكون مصدرا للاستعمال الخاطئ لحروف الجر من قبل الطلبة. إضافة إلى ذلك بينت النتائج أن مصادر معرفة أخرى كاللغة العربية الجزائرية، اللغة البربرية، والفرنسية يمكنها أن تؤثر على الاستعمال الخاطئ لحروف الجر ذاتها.
