يهدف البحث إلى تنمية رأس المال الفكري لدعم الميزة التنافسية بالجامعات المصرية. اعتمد البحث في منهجيته على تحليل الدراسات والأدبيات ذات الصلة بموضوعات البحث. توصل البحث إلى بعض النتائج، أهمها: أن الجامعات المصرية تواجه ضغوطا متزايدة لتكون أكثر تنافسية في عالم اتسم بالانفتاح المعرفي وسيادة عصر المعلومات. أن رأس المال الفكري يمثل الثروة الحقيقية ومصدر الميزة التنافسية للجامعة، وعليه فإن المنافسة الحقيقية بين الجامعات تتمثل في مدى قدرتها على بناء وتنمية رأس المال الفكري بها. أن الأهتمام بتنمية وتطوير رأس المال الفكري بالجامعات المصرية لا يزال محدود وغير كاف لدعم الميزة التنافسية بها، ولذلك اقترح البحث تقديم بعض الآليات المقترحة لتنمية رأس المال الفكري لدعم الميزة التنافسية بالجامعات المصرية. The research aims to develop intellectual capital to support the competitive advantage in Egyptian universities. The research methodology relied on the analysis of studies and literature related to research topics. The research reached some results, the most important of which are: that Egyptian universities are facing increasing pressure to be more competitive in a world characterized by openness of knowledge and the rule of the information age, that intellectual capital represents the real wealth and the source of the university’s competitive advantage. Therefore, the real competition between universities is represented in the extent of their ability to build and develop Intellectual capital, that interest in the development of intellectual capital in Egyptian universities is still limited and insufficient to support their competitive advantage. Therefore, the current research provides some proposed mechanisms for the development of intellectual capital to support the competitive advantage in Egyptian universities. (Published abstract)
