هدفت الدراسة الحالية إلى معرفة العلاقة بين موضع الضبط (داخلي- خارجي) وعلاقته بالذكاء العاطفي لدى عينة من 152 طالب وطالبة من طلاب التعليم العالي بجامعة حفر الباطن. لتحقيق أهداف الدراسة تم إستخدام المنهج الوصفي التحليلي من خلال جمع البيانات الأولية على طريقة الاستبيان كأداة للدراسة. وأظهرت النتائج وجود علاقة ذات دلالة إحصائية بين موضع الضبط الداخلي أو الخارجي والذكاء العاطفي، وعدم وجود علاقة ذات دلالة إحصائية بين مركز الضبط الداخلي والخارجي والذكاء العاطفي تعزى إلى الجنس. كما بينت أن مستوى الذكاء العاطفي لدى طلاب التعليم العالي بلغ درجة كبيرة. وخلصت الدراسة إلى ضرورة تعزيز البرامج التي تعزز الذكاء العاطفي لدى طلاب التعليم العالي بجامعة حفر الباطن، والإستفادة من الخبرات الإقليمية والعربية والدولية في مجال تنمية مهارات الذكاء العاطفي لدى طلاب التعليم العالي بجامعة حفر الباطن. حفر الباطن، مع أهمية تطوير البرامج العملية المتعلقة بإدارة العواطف والمعرفة. الانفعال لدى طلاب التعليم العالي بجامعة حفر الباطن. The current study aimed to find out the relationship between the locus of control (internal - external) and its relationship to emotional intelligence among a sample of 152 male and female higher education students at the university of Hafr al-Batin. To achieve the objectives of the study, the analytical descriptive approach was used by collecting primary data on the questionnaire method as a tool for the study. The results showed that the existence of a statistically significant relationship between the locus of internal or external control and emotional intelligence, and the absence of a statistically significant relationship between the locust of internal and external control and emotional intelligence due to gender. It also showed that the level of emotional intelligence among higher education students came to a large degree. The study concluded the need to strengthen programs that enhance emotional intelligence among higher education students at the university of Hafr al-Batin, and benefit from regional, Arab and international experiences in the field of developing emotional intelligence skills among higher education students at the university of Hafr al-Batin with the importance of developing practical programs related to the management of emotions, knowledge and emotionality among higher education students at the university of Hafr al-Batin.
