هدفت الدراسة إلى استقضاء أثر استخدام الاستراتيجية التبادلية في تطوير مهارة الاستيعاب القرائي لمتعلمي اللغة الإنجليزية لغة أجنبية في الصف السابع في الأردن واتجاهاتهم نحوها. وتكونت عينة الدراسة من 30 طالبة يدرسن في الصف السابع في مدرسة الحافظين الخاصة. كانت الطالبات بالفعل مقسمات إلى شعبتين (أ ، ب) من قبل إدارة المدرسة. ثم تم تعيين الطالبات عشوائيا في مجموعتين؛ المجموعة التجريبية التي خضعت لاستخدام استراتيجية التبادلية والمجموعة الضابطة التي تم تدريسها باستخدام التعليم الاعتيادي. وتكونت كل عينة من 15 طالبة. وتم استخدام التصميم شبه التجريبي بما في ذلك الاختبار القبلي والبعدي في هذه الدراسة، كما تم تطبيق استبانة على المجموعة التجريبية. وأظهرت النتائج: 1) وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى (??= 0.05) بين متوسط طالبات المجموعتين في القراءة الاستيعابية في الاختبار البعدي لصالح المجموعة التجريبية. 2) أن إجابات معظم الطالبات كانت "أوافق بشدة" و"أوافق". وهذا يدل على أن استخدام استراتيجية التبادلية كان له آثار إيجابية على تعزيز القراءة الاستيعابية لدى الطالبات واتجاهاتهن. وأدت هذه النتائج إلى مجموعة من التوصيات لوزارة التربية والتعليم والباحثين التربويين. This study aimed to investigate the effect of using the reciprocity strategy on seventh grade EFL students' reading comprehension and their attitudes toward it in Jordan. The participants of the study consisted of forty students studying at Al-Hafetheen Private School. The students were already divided into two sections (A & B) by the school administration. They were randomly assigned into two groups. The experimental group was subjected to using the Reciprocity strategy and the control group was taught using the regular instruction. Each group consisted of twenty students. The quasi-experimental design including pre-post-test was used in this study and descriptive design including a questionnaire was also applied to the experimental group. The findings revealed that: 1) There were statistically significant differences at (??= 0.05) between the means of both group students' reading comprehension post-test in favor of the experimental group. 2) Most students' responses to the questioner were "strongly agree" and "agree". This indicated that using the Reciprocity strategy had positive impacts on enhancing students' reading comprehension and their attitudes. These findings led to a set of recommendations for the Ministry of Education EFL and educational researchers. (Author’s abstract)
