هدفت هذه الدراسة التعرف إلى مستوى معرفة معلمي الدراسات الاجتماعية للمرحلة الثانوية لمفاهيم علم الاجتماع في مديرية تربية المفرق، وتم استخدام المنهج الوصفي لمناسبته لأغراض الدراسة. وقامت الباحثة بتطوير اختبار من نوع اختيار من متعدد مكون من (20) فقرة لقياس مستوى معرفة معلمي الدراسات الاجتماعية لمفاهيم علم الإجتماع. وتكونت عينة الدراسة من (182) معلما ومعلمة. وأظهرت نتائج الدراسة: 1) وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين الأداء والوسط المعياري في مستوى معرفة مفاهيم علم الاجتماع لدى معلمي الدراسات الاجتماعية في مديرية تربية المفرق حيث بلغت قيمة ت (38.985) وكانت ضمن المستوى المقبول تربوياً، 2) وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية تعزى لأثر الجنس؛ وجاءت الفروق لصالح الذكور، ووجود فروق ذات دلالة للتخصص؛ ولصالح (تاريخ، جغرافيا) في مستوى معرفتهم لمفاهيم علم الاجتماع. أوصت الدراسة التأكيد على تثقيف وتوعية معلمي الدراسات الاجتماعية بمفاهيم علم الاجتماع نظرا لأهميتها وحداثتها. This study aimed to identify the knowledge level of secondary stage social Studies teachers of the sociology concepts in Al-Mafraq Directorate of Education. The descriptive approach was used to suit it for the purposes of the study. The researcher developed a multiple-choice test consisting of (20) items to measure the level of knowledge of social studies teachers of the concepts of sociology. The study sample consisted of (182) male and female teachers. The results of the study showed that: 1) There were statistically significant differences between performance and the standard mean in the knowledge level of secondary stage social Studies teachers of the sociology concepts in Al-Mafraq Directorate of Education, that the value of (T) was (-38.985) and was within the educationally acceptable level. 2) There were statistically significant differences due to the impact of gender, the differences due to males, and there were significant differences for major and in favor of (history, geography) in the level of their knowledge of the concepts of sociology. The study recommended emphasizing the education and awareness of social studies teachers about the concepts of sociology due to their importance and modernity. (Author’s abstract)
