هدف هذا البحث إلى التعرف على مفهوم جودة الحياة الوظيفية، والوقوف على أهم أبعادها وأهميتها وأهدافها، والكشف عن درجة توافر جودة الحياة الوظيفية لدى معلمي التعليم الأساسي بمحافظة دمياط، واقتراح بعض التوصيات لتحسين جودة الحياة الوظيفية لدى معلمي التعليم الأساسي بمحافظة دمياط. وقد اعتمد البحث الحالي على المنهج الوصفي في جمع المعلومات وتفسيرها مع الإستعانة بالاستبانة كأداة بحثية تم تطبيقها على عينة عشوائية طبقية بلغت (400) معلم بمدارس التعليم الأساسي بالإدارات التعليمية العشر بمحافظة دمياط. وتوصل البحث إلى أن درجة توافر جودة الحياة الوظيفية لدى معلمي التعليم الأساسي جاء متوسطاً. وتوصلت النتائج إلى وجود بعض القصور في توافر جودة الحياة الوظيفية لدى المعلمين ومنها: 1) قلة الرواتب والحوافز وعدم ملاءمتها لما يقدم من مجهود بالإضافة لعدم كفايتها للعيش حياة كريمة، 2) عدم توافر بيئة مدرسية صحية مناسبة، الكثافة العالية للفصول مع الأثاث المتهالك، 3) ساعات العمل مرهقة بدنياً، 4) قلة مشاركة المعلمين في إتخاذ القرارات المتعلقة بعملهم، 5) إنعدام دور النقابة في الحفاظ على حقوق المعلمين وتقديم المعاش المناسب والخدمات المستحقة والمرضية للمعلمين. This research aimed to identify the concept of the quality of work life, and to identify its importance, objectives and most important dimensions, and to reveal the availability of the quality of work life for basic education teachers in Damietta Governorate, and to propose some recommendations to improve the quality of work life for basic education teachers in Damietta Governorate. The current research relied on the descriptive method in collecting and interpreting information, A questionnaire was used as a research tool that was applied to a stratified random sample of (400) teachers in basic education schools in the ten educational departments in Damietta Governorate. The results concluded that the availability of the quality of work life for teachers was medium, and there are some deficiencies in the availability of the quality of working life among teachers, including: Lack of salaries and incentives and their inadequacy to the effort provided in addition to their inadequacy to live a decent life, Lack of a suitable healthy school environment, High density of classrooms with dilapidated furniture, Working hours are Physically exhausting, The lack of participation of teachers in making decisions related to their work, The lack of the syndicate's role in preserving the rights of teachers and providing the appropriate pension and due and satisfactory services to teachers.
