هدفت الدراسة التعرف على مستوى الخجل لدى الطلبة المتفوقين دراسياً في المرحلة الثانوية، والتعرف على الفروق العائدة للنوع (الذكور - الإناث)، والسنة الدراسية (أولى - ثالثة) ، والترتيب الولادي (أول - الأوسط - الأخير). تكونت عينة الدراسة من (90) طالبًا وطالبة من طلاب مركز المتفوقين في المرحلة الثانوية بمدنية بنغازي. منهم (50) طالبا و(40) طالبة. تم استخدام مقياس الخجل من إعداد الدريني (ب، ت). وأظهرت نتائج الدراسة أن أفراد العينة الكلية يتمتعون بمستوى متوسط من الخجل وأن هناك انخفاض في أبعاد الخجل (البعد النفسي، الاجتماعي، والفسيولوجي) لدى الطلبة المتفوقين، وتوجد فروق عائدة للنوع حيث كان الإناث أكثر خجلاً من الذكور، بينما لا توجد فروق عائدة للسنة الدراسية والترتيب الولادي. The study aimed to identify the level of shyness among the students who excelled academically in the secondary stage, and to identify the differences related to the gender (male - female), the academic year (first - third), and the birth order (first - middle - last). The study sample consisted of (90) Male and female students from the Center for Outstanding Students in the secondary stage in the city of Benghazi. Of them (50) male students and (40) female students. The shyness scale prepared by Al-Darini (B, T) was used. The results of the study showed that the total sample members enjoy a medium level of shyness, and there is a decrease in the dimensions of shyness (psychosocial and physiological dimension) among the outstanding students, and there are differences due to gender, where females are more shy than males.
