نهدف من خلال هذه الدراسة للكشف عن علاقة التفكير التحليلي باليقظة العقلية لدى طلبة سنة الأولى جامعي، واتبع المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، وتم تطبيقه على عينة قوامها (100) طالب وطالبة، تم اختيارهم بطريقة عشوائية بسيطة. واعتمدت أدوات الدراسة الممثلة في مقياس التفكير التحليلي المصمم من طرف الباحثة حمزة نورة كريم سنة (2019) ومقياس اليقظة العقلية المصمم من طرف الباحثة أحلام مهدي عبد الله (2013). وتم استخدام الأساليب الإحصائية المتمثلة في المتوسط الحسابي والمتوسط الفرضي، والانحراف المعياري واختبار(T) للعينتين مستقلتين. وأسفرت النتائج إلى: 1) أن للتفكير التحليلي علاقة ارتباطية باليقظة العقلية لدى طلبة الجامعة، 2) أن مستوى التفكير التحليلي مرتفع لدى الطلبة الجامعة ومستوى اليقظة العقلية مرتفع لدى طلبة الجامعة، 3) توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في التفكير التحليلي تعزى لمتغير الجنس وكانت لصالح الإناث، 4) توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في اليقظة العقلية تعزى لمتغير الجنس وكانت لصالح الإناث. The aim through this study to reveal the relationship of analytical thinking with mental alertness among first-year university students, and it was applied to a sample of (100) male and female students, who were chosen in a simple random way, and we followed the descriptive analytical approach and the study tools represented in the thinking scale were adopted. The analytical method designed by the researcher Hamza Noura Karim in the year (2019) and the mental alertness scale designed by the researcher Ahlam Mahdi Abdullah (2013), and the statistical methods represented in the arithmetic mean, the hypothetical mean, the standard deviation and the (T) test for the two independent samples were used. The results showed that: 1) Analytical thinking has a correlative relationship with mental alertness among university students, 2) and it also showed that the level of analytical thinking is high among university students and the level of mental alertness is high among university students, 3) as well as there are statistically significant differences in analytical thinking due to the variable of sex and it was in favor of females, 4) and there are statistically significant differences in vigilance the mentality is attributed to the gender variable and it was in favor of females.
