هدف البحث للكشف عن صورة الأصدقاء وعلاقتها بمهارات التخاطب الاجتماعي لدى الشباب المنضمين للدراسة في جامعة سامراء، بلغت عينة البحث (438) من الجنسين، طبق الباحث عليهم مقياس صورة الأصدقاء لـ (Armsden & Greenberg ) ومقياس مهارات التخاطب الاجتماعي لـ (Ronald E. Riggo)، وبعد تحليل البيانات إحصائيا. توصل البحث إلى أن: 1) صورة الأصدقاء لدى الشباب كانت إيجابية، مع وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية فيها حسب السكن ولصالح الشباب الذين يسكنون في بيوتهم، وحسب الخلفية ولصالح الشباب القادمين من خلفية ريفية، وعدم وجود فروق حسب الجنس والعمر، 2) تمتع الشباب بمهارات تخاطب اجتماعي جيدة، مع وجود فروق فيها حسب الجنس ولصالح الذكور، وحسب الخلفية ولصالح القادمين من خلفية حضرية، ولم تظهر فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية حسب متغير العمر والسكن، كما أشارت النتائج إلى وجود علاقة ارتباطية ذات دلالة إحصائية بين صورة الأصدقاء وبين مهارات التخاطب الاجتماعي، وخاصة ما يتعلق منها بالثقة في الأصدقاء والتواصل معهم. The study aims at exploring of Friends' image and its relation with Social Communication Skills of Youth who study at University of Samaraa. The Sample of the study consists of (438) Persons of both genders. Armsden & Greenberg Scale of Friends' image and Ronald E. Riggo Scale of Social Communication Skills were applied on them. After analyzing the data statistically, the study show that the Friends image of Youth was Positive in addition to existence of significant statistical differences according to: Place of residence toward the youth who live in their homes, Region, it was toward the youth who live in rural region. There are no significant statistical differences according to gender and age. The youth show good Social Communication with to existence differences according to gender: They are for males’ part, region: They are for urbans. There are no significant statistical differences according to age and residence. The results show that there is a connected relation of statistical reference between Friends image and Social Communication Skills especially those which relate to the Confidence in friends and communicating with them.
