هدف البحث إلى تعليم الجغرافيا باستراتيجية خرائط التفكير لطالبات الصف الثالث المتوسط بالمملكة العربية السعودية، وتم استخدام المنهج الوصفي، ولتحقيق ذلك تم تحديد الموضوعات الجغرافية التالية: التصحر، أشكال سطح الأرض، التلوث وتم تحديد خطوات تعليم كل موضوع من الموضوعات وفق استراتيجية خرائط التفكير، ووضعها في دليل إرشادي، وعرضه على مجموعة من المتخصصين في مجال المناهج وطرق التدريس، لأخذ موافقتهم على صحة الأهداف التعليمية، ومناسبة خرائط التفكير للموضوعات الجغرافية ولمستوى الطالبات، وبلغت نسبة موافقتهم على الدليل 96%. وأوصت الباحثتان بضرورة توجيه تحفيز معلمات الجغرافيا على استخدام استراتيجية خرائط التفكير عند تعليم الطالبات وتدربيهن على ذلك. The research aims to teach geography using thinking maps strategy for third-grade intermediate school students in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. A descriptive method was used in this research, and for this purpose the following geographical topics were identified: Desertification, land surface shapes and pollution. Moreover the steps for teaching each topic were determined according to the thinking maps strategy and were included in a guidebook, which was presented to a group of specialists in the field of curricula and instruction, to get their approval for the validity of the educational objectives, and the suitability of thinking maps for geographical topics and for the level of students. They approved the guide by 96%. The two researchers recommended the necessity to motivate geography teachers to use the thinking maps strategy when teaching students and train them on that.
