نعيش في عصر محاصر بالتحديات بكل أنواعها ولا سيما في مجال التربية والتعليم، ويظهر ذلك جليا في المعارف التي تتزايد بشراهة وبكافة أنواعها حيث أصبح العبء كبيرا على الإدارات التعليمية والتربوية على حد السواء فكان لا بد من مجابهة ذلك ومواكبته من أجل التغيير والتطوير الحتمي والذي لا يأتي إلا عن طريق التوجيه التربوي السليم الذي أصبح ضرورة في التصدي للتصدع الذي طال المؤسسات التعليمية والتربوية حيث أصبح الإهتمام كبيرا بالتوجيه والإشراف التربوي. فقد تناولنا في هذه الورقة البحثية الإشراف الفني من خلال المفهوم والمعنى، كما تحدثت الورقة عن أهمية الإشراف الفني ودور المشرف الفني وأهميته التربوية، كذلك جاء في الحديث مبادئ الإشراف التربوي والأساليب الإشرافية التربوية ودورها في تنمية المعلمين مهنيا، وأيضا تناولت الورقة التطور الحادث في الإشراف التربوي والإشراف التربوي الحديث، وكذلك الإتجاهات الحديثة في الإشراف التربوي وأساليبه ومستقبل الإشراف التربوي، وكذلك جاء في الورقة دور المدير كمشرف مقيم بالمدرسة.
