هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى فحص طبيعة العلاقة بين إدمان تدخين السجائر وأبعاده بالرهاب الإجتماعي، فضلا عن فحص الفروق بين المدخنين وغير المدخنين في الرهاب الإجتماعي، واعتمدت الدراسة على المنهج الوصفي المقارن، واشتملت العينة على (396) طالباً بواقع (191) مدخن و(205) غير مدخن، واستندت الدراسة على مقياسين إحداهما مقياس إدمان تدخين السجائر، ومقياس الرهاب الإجتماعي. وأشارت النتائج إلى وجود علاقة طردية ذات دلالة إحصائية بين إدمان تدخين السجائر وأبعاده بالرهاب الإجتماعي، وكان هناك فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين المدخنين وغير المدخنين في مستوى الرهاب الإجتماعي وكانت لصالح المدخنين. This study aimed to examine the nature relationship between cigarette smoking addiction and its dimensions with social phobia, as well as examining the differences between smokers and non-smokers in social phobia. The study relied on the comparative descriptive approach, and the sample included (396) students (191) smokers and (205) Non-smoker, the study was based on two scales, one of which is the cigarette smoking addiction scale, and the social phobia scale, and the results indicated that there is a direct relationship statistically significant between cigarette smoking addiction and its dimensions with social phobia, and as well as there were statistically significant differences between smokers and non-smokers in the level of social phobia and the results were in the side of smokers.
