هدفت الدراسة التعرف إلى القيادة الاستراتيجية وعلاقتها بالقدرة التنافسية لدى مديري المدارس الثانوية الحكومية في محافظة العاصمة عمان من وجهة نظر مساعدي المديرين، ولتحقيق هدف الدراسة استخدم الباحثان المنهج الوصفي الإرتباطي، وتم تطوير أداتين للدراسة وهما: أداة القيادة الاستراتيجية، وأداة القدرة التنافسية وتم التأكد من صدقهما وثباتهما. وتكونت عينة الدراسة من (169) مساعداً ومساعدة تم اختيارهم بالطريقة الطبقية العشوائية. وقد أشارت نتائج الدراسة إلى أن درجة ممارسة مديري المدارس الثانوية الحكومية في محافظة العاصمة عمان للقيادة الاستراتيجية وتحقيق القدرة التنافسية كانت مرتفعة. أوصت الدراسة بضرورة قيام قادة المدارس بصياغة رؤية ورسالة طويلة الأجل لمؤسساتهم التعليمية شاملة أهداف استراتيجية، وواقعية، وقابلة للتطبيق والقياس والتعديل للتوصل إلى أفضل المخرجات التربوية والتعليمية. This study aimed to identify strategic leadership and its relationship the competitiveness of public secondary school principals in Amman governorate from principals’ assistants’ point of view. To achieve the objective of the study the researchers used the descriptive correlation survey method and developed two tools: strategic leadership questionnaire, and competitiveness questionnaire and it were verified and validated. The study sample consisted of (169) assistants, they were chosen by the stratified random method. The results of the study indicated that the degree of public secondary school principals in the capital Amman governorate practicing strategic leadership and achieving competitiveness was high. The results also showed a statistically significant correlation between the averages of the response of the principals’ assistants’ to the degree to which high school principals in the Amman governorate practicing strategic leadership and their relationship in achieving competitiveness. The study recommended that school leaders should formulate a long-term vision and message for their educational institutions, including strategic, realistic, applicable, measurable and adjusting goals to achieve the best educational outcomes.
