هدف البحث إلى تعرف صورة الطفل المعاق ذهنياً في قصص الأطفال والناشئة، وتكونت عينة البحث من (18) قصة صادرة من دور نشر عربية من عام 2006 -2017، نشرت لمؤلفين عرب أو قصص مترجمة، واتبعت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي بأسلوب تحليل المحتوى لقصص أطفال في مجال الإعاقة الذهنية باستخدام أداة من (إعداد الباحثة)، وأشارت النتائج إلى ملاءمة العنوان وحجم القصص ووضوح خط الكتابة وكذلك وضوح رسوم القصص وتسلسلها مع أحداث القصة وعدم توضيح الرسوم للخصائص الجسمية لشخصيات متلازمة داون، وكما أشارت النتائج إلى تركيز القصص على المجالين الاجتماعي والانفعالي الوجداني حيث أظهرت الشخصيات من ذوي الإعاقة الذهنية بصورة واقعية وإيجابية، ودعت القصص إلى دمج الطفل المعاق ذهنيا في المجتمع وخاصة في البيئة المدرسية، وركز المجال المعرفي على الخصائص اللغوية ومن ثم الخصائص المعرفية تليها القدرات التعليمية وبالأخص مبادئ تعلم الكتابة والقراءة، وأظهرت كذلك النتائج تركيز القصص على الصفات الجسمية وعلى جوانب الاختلاف بني المعاقين ذهنيا وغيرهم من غير ذوي الإعاقة مع قلة التطرق للجانب المهني والعمل للأفراد من ذوي الإعاقة الذهنية، وإلى دقة المعلومات والحقائق والمصطلحات العلمية عن الإعاقة الذهنية في مجمل القصص، وتوصلت الباحثة إلى معايير كتابة قصص الأطفال في مجال الإعاقة الذهنية، وأوصت الدراسة بدعوة مؤسسات المجتمع المدني إلى تبني موضوع الكتابة للطفل في مجال الإعاقة في مؤتمراتها السنوية، ودعوة المؤسسات التعليمية بتوفير قصص أدب الأطفال في مجال الإعاقة في المكتبات المدرسية. The study aimed to identify the image of the child with intellectual disability in children’s and adolescents, stories. The research sample consisted of (18) stories published by Arab publishing houses written from 2006 to 2017. The research followed content analysis of children’s stories in the field of intellectual disability prepared by the researcher. The results indicated that both writing line and the paintings was clear. The results also showed lack of illustrations of the physical characteristics of Down syndrome characters. Most stories focused on both emotional and social aspects and showed people with intellectual disability in a realistic and positive way. The stories called for the integration of the disabled individuals into society. The cognitive field focused on the linguistic characteristics and then followed by the educational abilities, especially on the basic principles of teaching, writing, and reading. The results also showed that the stories focused on the physical characteristics, and on the differences between the intellectual disabled and other non-disabled individual. The study recommended inviting civil society organizations to adopt the theme of writing for children in the field of disability in their annual conferences, and to invite educational institutions to provide stories of children ’s with disability the in schools, libraries.
