The aim of the current study was to explore the most common five big factors of personality among team players of game sports at the University of Jordan. The second aim of the current study was to assess whether school type (scientific and humanities) and sport game type (football, handball and volleyball) affect the five big factors of personality. The five big factors of personality scale by Costa & McCrea, (1989) was employed. The validity and reliability of the scale was checked and approved before conducting the study. The study sample consisted of (47) students of team players of game sports at the University of Jordan enrolled at the first semester of 2017-2018 academic year. The results showed that the university of Jordan students have moderate level of the five big factors of personality. Conscientiousness factor was the most common one of the five factors and the neuroticism factor was the least common one of the five factors. Extraversion and agreeableness factors were significantly higher among students of humanities schools than students of scientific schools (P < 0.05). Openness to experience factor was significantly higher among students of scientific schools than students of humanities schools (P < 0.05). Neuroticism factor was significantly higher among handball and volleyball players than football players (P < 0.05). Conscientiousness, extraversion and agreeableness factors were higher among football players than handball and volleyball players. The researcher recommends conducting other studies to correlate the five big factors with academic achievement and the studies’ level (i.e., first, second, third & fourth). The researcher also recommends that concern should be given to these factors, which are related to players’ performance, results, and its relation with his psychological skills in order to understand the problems that facing players.
