هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على واقع الدور الذي يقوم به معلم التربية الفنية في اكتشاف الموهوبين فنيا، وكذلك الصعوبات التي تواجهه في اكتشافهم، والتعرف على الآراء والمقترحات التي تدعم دوره في اكتشاف الموهوبين فنيا ليصل إلى الحد المأمول. وقد استخدمت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي القائم على تحليل البيانات، وتم تطبيق استبانة لاستطلاع رأي عينة من معلمي ومعلمات التربية الفنية بمحافظة سوهاج بلغ عددهم (90) معلم ومعلمة. وقد توصلت الدراسة إلى عدة نتائج أهمها: 1) فيما يتعلق بالمحور الأول وهو: واقع الدور الذي يقوم به معلم التربية الفنية في اكتشاف الموهوبين هناك شبه إجماع من عينة الدراسة على أن الدور الذي يقوم به معلم التربية الفنية تجاه اكتشاف الموهوبين فنيا يكون غير كاف، 2) فيما يتعلق بالمحور الثاني وهو: الصعوبات التي تواجه معلم التربية الفنية في اكتشاف الموهوبين فنيا: صعوبات تتعلق بالطالب الموهوب نفسه: ومنها امتناع الطالب الموهوب عن المشاركة في الانشطة الفنية، صعوبات تتعلق بالاسرة: ومنها عدم وجود تعاون بين الأسرة والمعلمين، صعوبات تتعلق بإدارة المدرسة: ومنها وجود قصور في الدور الذي تقوم به المدرسة في اكتشاف الموهوبين فنيا، صعوبات تتعلق بمحتوى المقرر الدراسي: ومنها أن محتوى المقرر الدراسي لا يفي باحتياجات الموهوبين فنيا. 3) فيما يتعلق بالمحور الثالث وهو: الآراء والمقترحات التي تدعم دور معلم التربية الفنية في اكتشاف الموهوبين فنيا تم ذلك من خلال نقطتين هما: 1) الامكانات الواجب توافرها لرعاية الموهوبين فنيا: ومنها توفير الخامات والأدوات التي تساعد على اكتشاف الموهوبين فنيا، 2) المقترحات التي تساعد في تفعيل دور معلم التربية الفنية تدعم مهارات معلم التربية الفنية في اكتشاف الموهوبين فنيا: ومنها تنظيم دورات وورش عمل لتدريب معلمي التربية الفنية على كيفية اكتشاف الموهوبين فنيا. The study aimed at investigating the factual role of art teachers in discovering artistically gifted students , the difficulties that are confronted in discovering them, and recognizing their viewpoints and suggestions that support his/her role in discovering artistically gifted students with their utmost promises. The study utilized the descriptive methodology which is based on data analysis and a questionnaire of surveying the viewpoints of (90) female and male art education at Sohag governorate. The study revealed various findings: considering the first axis, the factual role of art education teacher towards discovering artistically gifted students is inadequate. considering the second axis, the art education teacher faces difficulties in discovering artistically gifted students as( the difficulties of the artistically gifted student him/herself) : as the gifted students are unwilling to participate in art activities, (the difficulties relating to the family as there is not cooperation between family and teachers), (the difficulties of school as there is a lack in the role of school in discovering the artistically gifted students), (the difficulties of the textbook content as the content of schooling course does not satisfy the demands of artistically gifted students). Considering the third axis which is represented in the viewpoints and suggestions supporting the role of art education teacher in discovering artistically gifted students has been tackled through two parts: the possibilities that should be provided for caring about artistically gifted students that assist in activating role of art education teacher as supplying materials and tools that assist in discovering artistically gifted students, the suggestions that support the skills of art education teachers in discovering artistically gifted students as organizing training courses and workshops for training artistically gifted education teachers on the how of discovering artistically gifted students.
