هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى كشف العلاقة بين قلق المستقبل والاكتئاب وتناقضات إدراك الذات، والتعرف على مدى اسهام قلق المستقبل والاكتئاب كمتغيرات منبئة بتناقضات إدراك الذات لدى الشباب مدمني الفيسبوك، واستخدم المنهج الوصفي الارتباطي المقارن، وتكونت عينة الدراسة من (400) طالباً وطالبةَ مقسمة بالتساوي على قسمي علم النفس والاجتماع بكلية الآداب جامعة السويس من الفئة العمرية (18-21 سنة)، بمتوسط عمري قدره (20.21) وانحراف معياري (2.32) سنة، واختيرت العينة اختياراً عشوئياً، طُبق عليهم مقاييس قلق المستقبل والاكتئاب وتناقضات إدراك الذات. وأسفرت نتائج الدراسة عن: 1) وجود ارتباط موجب دال بين قلق المستقبل والاكتئاب وبين تناقضات إدراك الذات لدى عينة الدراسة من الذكور والإناث، 2) كما تبيَّن وجود فروق دالة بين الذكور والإناث على مقياس تناقضات إدراك الذات في اتجاه الإناث، 3) بينما تبيَّن وجود فروق دالة بين الذكور والإناث على مقياسي قلق المستقبل والاكتئاب في اتجاه الذكور. 4) واتضح وجود فروق دالة بين بين متوسطات درجات الأصغر سناً والأكبر سناً على مقاييس قلق المستقبل والاكتئاب وتناقضات إدراك الذات في اتجاه الأكبر سناً، 5) كما لُوحظ أن لكل من قلق المستقبل والاكتئاب معاً قدرة تنبؤية مرتفعة بتناقضات إدراك الذات لدى عينة الدراسة، 6) وأن قلق المستقبل منفرداً لديه قدرة تنبؤية مرتفعة بتناقضات إدراك الذات لدى عينة الدراسة. This study aimed to reveal the relationship between future anxiety and depression and the self- Discrepancy, and to identify the contribution of future anxiety and depression as predictors of self-Discrepancy in young Facebook addicts, and used a comparative associative descriptive approach, and the study sample consisted of (400) students, male and female students divided equally into the two departments of Psychology and Sociology at the Faculty of Arts, Suez University, from the age group (18-21 years).and a standard deviation of (2.32) years. The sample was selected randomly, applying measures of future anxiety, depression and self-Discrepancy. The results of the study resulted in: 1) A positive correlation between future anxiety and depression on the one hand and the self-Discrepancy in the study sample of males and females. 2) It was also found that there were differences between males and females on the scale of self-Discrepancy in the direction of females, 3) while there were differences between males and females on the scales of future anxiety and depression in the direction of males. 4) It was also noted that both future anxiety and depression together have a high predictive ability with self-Discrepancy in the study sample, 5) and that future anxiety alone has a high predictive ability with self-Discrepancy in the study sample.
