هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على العلاقة بين الذكاء الوجداني والمعدل الدراسي العام والتخصص أدبي – علمي. لدى عينة من طلاب جامعة الكويت. في عينة عددها 330 طالب عدد الذكور 155 وعدد الإناث 175. في متوسط أعمار العينة الكلية 20.28 بانحراف معياري 3.05 وداخل عينة الذكور 20.75 بانحراف معياري 3.60. وداخل عينة الإناث 29.86 بانحراف معياري .02.39 وصلت هذه الدراسة إلى التالي: 1) وجود فروق دالة إحصائيا بين متوسطات المجموعين في الذكاء الوجداني لصالح الإناث في بعد الذكاء الاجتماعي. 2) وجود علاقة دالة إحصائية بين الذكاء الوجداني المنخفض والتخصص الأدبي. 3) عدم وجود فروق دالة إحصائيا بين متوسطات المجموعين في التخصص أدبي علمي في الذكاء الوجداني. وينبئ المعدل الدراسي العام المرتفع بالذكاء الوجداني. The present study aims of examining the correlation between emotional intelligence and achievement and career, and satisfaction with life in Kuwait university student’s males and females. The following instruments have been administered to 330 volunteer students (155 males, and 175 females with a mean age of 20, 28 years respectively). This research reaches the following: 1) There are statistically differences between sexes in emotional intelligence according to their mean on the brief test of emotional intelligence favoring females. 2) They are statistically significant differences between emotional intelligence and career (literature,). 3) They are statistically significant differences between low level emotional intelligence and achievement. 4) They are no statistrally significant differences between career literature and sciense with emotional intelligence. Results of stepwise regression revealed that high level achievement significantly predicted emotional intelligence. (Published abstract)
