هدف البحث إلى التعرف على أهم متطلبات الطفولة المستقبلية، والتوصل إلى أدوار معلمة رياض الأطفال في ضوء تلك المتطلبات. استخدم البحث المنهج الوصفي، وتوصل إلى مجموعة من النتائج، أهمها : إن الاهتمام بطفل رياض الأطفال وتنمية قدراته من أهم أهداف التربية المستقبلية لمواجهة المتغيرات والتحديات المستقبلية، هناك قدرات كامنة لدى كل طفل وتظهر إذا ما توفرت الظروف والبيئة الملائمة والمعلمة الخبيرة والماهرة فكل طفل له قدرات ومهارات يتميز بها عن غيره، ضرورة التحسين المستمر لبرامج التنمية المهنية لمعلمة الروضة وإمدادهن بالمهارات والكفايات للإيفاء بالاحتياجات العصرية والمستقبلية لمواجهة متغيرات التنمية، اتضحت أهمية التعلم الذاتي لدى معلمة رياض الأطفال وأن تمتلك الخبرة والمهارات اللازمة التي تكفل تنشئة الطفل وإعداده في ضوء متطلبات الطفولة المستقبلية.
