هدف البحث إلى قياس أثر استخدام استراتيجية (SWOM) على تنمية مهارات التفكير المنتج والثقة الرياضياتية لدى تلاميذ الصف الخامس الابتدائي. تم إعداد أدوات البحث متمثلة في اختبار التفكير المنتج، ومقياس الثقة الرياضياتية، وأعد الباحثان دليلا للمعلم لتدريس وحدتي "المعادلات والقياس" باستخدام استراتيجية (SWOM) واتبع البحث المنهج التجريبي ذا التصميم شبه التجريبي ذا المجموعتين (التجريبية - الضابطة)، وتم تطبيق اختبار التفكير المنتج، ومقياس الثقة الرياضياتية على المجموعتين التجريبية والضابطة قبل وبعد التجربة، وتم التدريس للمجموعة التجريبية باستخدام استراتيجية (SWOM)، وتم التدريس للمجموعة الضابطة باستخدام الطرق المعتادة، واستغرق تطبيق البحث خمسة أسابيع خلال الفصل الدراسي الثاني من العام (2021-2022م). أظهرت النتائج مستوى عال لصالح تلاميذ المجموعة التجريبية، وأثبتت النتائج مدى أثر استراتيجية (SWOM) في تنمية مهارات التفكير المنتج، والثقة الرياضياتية لدى تلاميذ الصـف الخامس الابتدائي، ووجود علاقة ارتباطية موجبة (طردية) بين درجات تلاميذ المجموعتين التجريبية، والضابطة في اختبار مهارات التفكير المنتج، ومقياس الثقة الرياضياتية دالة عند مستوى (0.01). The current research aimed to measuring the effect of (SWOM) strategy on developing productive thinking skills and mathematical confidence among 5th primary pupils. Tools of the current research were prepared (Test of productive thinking and Mathematical confidence scale), Two researchers prepared “Teacher Guide” for teaching “Formula and Measurement“ units, with using (SWOM) strategy. Experimental Method (Qusi- experimental design) with two groups (experimental- control) was followed. Productive thinking test and mathematical confidence scale were applied on two groups “experimental and control” pre and post experimentation. Experimental group was taught through use of (SWOM) strategy, and control one was taught traditionally. The application of research was nearly five weeks during second semester (2021-2022). The results showed high level in favour of experimental groups pupils and the effect of (SWOM) strategy on developing Productive thinking test and mathematical confidence among target sample. The results also demonstrated a positive correlative relation between experimental group pupils scores regarding productive thinking test and mathematical confidence scale (0.01) level of significance.
