هدفت الدراسة معرفة التأثيرات السلبية التي تحدثها العولمة الإعلامية بشتى وسائلها وأساليبها على الهوية الثقافية في المجتمعات العربية، والأخطار المترتبة عليها، واستخدمت المنهج الوصفي، وتناولت نشأة العولمة الإعلامية وخصائصها وأنواعها، ومعرفة التأثيرات السلبية للعولمة الإعلامية على اللغة العربية، والتراث الثقافي العربي والموروث الشعبي، والنزعات الطائفية والمذهبية والقبلية والعشائرية، والاغتراب الثقافي والعزلة الاجتماعية، إضافة إلى تأثير العولمة الإعلامية على الثقافة الاستهلاكية، وتوصلت الدراسة إلى أن العولمة الثقافية تمثل تحدياً كبيراً للهوية الثقافية يتطلب تكاتف كافة الجهود للتوعية بمخاطره وآليات مواجهته. The current study aimed at investigating the negative effects of the media globalization with its different means and techniques on the cultural identity and the risks related in the Arab communities. The descriptive method was adopted for fulfilling the purpose the study. Many topics were addressed by the present study, namely, the origin of the media globalization, features, types, the negative effects of the media globalization on the Arabic language, the Arabic cultural heritage, the sectarian, tribal, religious conflicts, cultural alienation, social isolation and the effect of the media globalization on the consumed culture. The results of the study revealed that the cultural globalization is a great challenge for the society identity, which requires a lot of efforts to be exerted to increase the people awareness of the globalization and the means of facing such challenges.
