هدفت الدراسة إلى توثيق تجربة التحول لمجتمع التعلم المهني في المدرسة الابتدائية السابعة لتحفيظ القرآن الكريم ببريدة، واتخذت الدراسة منحى نوعيا باستخدام أسلوب دراسة الحالة، وجمعت البيانات والمعلومات من المقابلات المفتوحة مع قائدة المدرسة، ومشرفة وحدة تطوير، وثلاث معلمات، بالإضافة إلى مستندات ووثائق المدرسة. توصلت الدراسة إلى أن تحول المدرسة لمجتمع تعلم مهني كان عبر تدريب القائدة التي نشرت ثقافة مجتمع التعلم المهني في المدرسة، ثم البدء بمجموعة تجريبية ثم التوسع، كما ظهرت خصائص مجتمعات التعلم المهني في المدرسة، وكان أهم عاملين في نجاح التجربة هما: القيادة الفاعلة، ودعم شركة تطوير، أما أهم المعوقات فتمثلت في كثافة النقل من وإلى المدرسة مما يضعف استقرار الثقافة، كما قدمت الدراسة عددا من التوصيات أهمها التدريب الفاعل للقائدات من قبل جهات احترافية. Professional learning communities have become one of the most important turns in improving students' learning depending on teachers professional development. The study aims to document the experience of transforming the seventh elementary school for memorizing Quran in Buraydah into a professional learning community. The study follows a qualifying approach using a case study method. Data and information are collected from open meetings with the school leader, Tatweer facilitator (a supervisor) and three teachers, in addition to school documents. The study finds that the school transformation into a professional learning community was a result of leader training who spread the PLC culture among the school, then starting with an experimental group, then expanding. Dufour & Eaker (2008) characrerstics of PLC were clear in this case. The most important factors in the success of this case were: Effective Leadership and Tatweer Company support. An important obstacle limits the success of the case: The intensity of teachers transfers (from and to) school which weaken the culture stability. The study gave some recommendations such as effective and professional leader training. (Published abstract)
