تفرَّدت وتميزت الفلسفة البرغماتية الأمريكية عن غيرها من الفلسفات المثالية ضمن مجموعة من السِّجالات والطروحات الفلسفية في أوروبا، فواكبت التغيرات الحاصلة على الساحة الفكرية وأخذت تلبس أبوابا عبر مرحلتيها الأولى والثانية خاصة البرغماتية الجديدة حيث تحولت نحو مسائل فلسفية مركزية متعلقة بالإنسان والواقع العملي ومرحلة الحداثة بتمخضاتها منها فلسفة التربية والقيم، وعليه تم اختيارنا للبحث الموسوم بفلسفة التربية والقيم في البرغماتية الجديدة ريتشارد رورتي نموذجا من خلال موروثه الثقافي والفكري وفلسفته العملية، بتتبع الخلفية القيمية ثم تحليل مضامين مشروعه التربوي ومحاولة استنتاجه وايجاد التعالق الوثيق بين القوالب التربوية ومضامينها القيمية المضمرة خلف كل رؤية تربوية. American pragmatism was distinguished and distinguished from other idealism philosophies within a range of philosophical debates in Europe, It kept up with the changes that took place in the intellectual arena through the first and second phases, especially the new pragmatism, where it turned towards central philosophical issues related to man and the practical reality and the stage of modernism, including the philosophy of education and values, Thus we were chosen for the research that is characterized by the philosophy of education and values in the new pragmatism Richard Rorty as a model through his cultural and intellectual heritage and his practical philosophy, Following the background value and then analyzing the contents of his educational project and trying to draw it and find a close link between the educational templates and their content values behind each educational vision.
