The aim of the research is to analyze the theoretical foundations for the excellence of research performance in contemporary universities, and to reveal the requirements of its achievement, to reveal the current reality of the excellence of research performance and the requirements of its achievement at the Suez University, and King Saud University, to compare and explain the similarities and differences of research excellence and the requirements of its achievement at the Suez University and King Saud University, and reaching the proposed procedures to activate the requirements of distinguished research performance at the University of Suez, the research was based on the comparative approach, and at the end of the research the proposed procedures were were put in place to activate the requirements to achieve the excellence of research performance at the Suez University in the light of the comparative study and search results.
