هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى التعرف على واقع التخطيط الاستراتيجي في مدارس التعليم بمدينة عرعر من وجهة نظر القيادات المدرسية فيها، وقد تكون مجتمع الدراسة من جميع القيادات المدرسية في مدارس التعليم بمدينة عرعر البالغ عددهم (179) قائدا وقائدة، وقد استخدمت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي وأداة الاستبانة لجمع البيانات، وقد أسفرت عن نتائج من أهمها: 1) أفراد عينة الدراسة موافقون بدرجة عالية على ممارسة القيادة المدرسية لعلميات التخطيط الاستراتيجي في مدارس التعليم بمدينة عرعر، وأبرز هذه الممارسات تتمثل في عملهم ضمن رؤية واضحة. 2) أفراد عينة الدراسة موافقون بدرجة عالية جدا على واحدة من المقترحات التي قد تسهم في تطوير التخطيط الاستراتيجي في مدارس التعليم بمدينة عرعر تتمثل في نشر ثقافة التخطيط الاستراتيجي في المدرسة. This study aimed to identify the reality of strategic planning from the viewpoint of the school principals at the Saudi educational schools, in Arar. The study population was composed of all the (179) school principals at the educational schools in Arar. The study used the descriptive approach, and in order to achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher prepared a questionnaire. The results showed that study participants agreed to a large extent on the practice of school leadership in relation to the strategic planning processes and he most highlighted practice was their work within a clear vision. Likewise, the study participants highly agreed on the obstacles faced in practicing strategic planning, the most emphasized of which was the scarcity of training courses in strategic planning for school principals. Participants overwhelmingly agreed on spreading the culture of strategic planning in the schools. (Published abstract)
