هدف هذا البحث إلى الكشف عن مدى فاعلية إستراتيجية مقترحة في تنمية التفكير المتشعب والتحصيل في الرياضيات لدى تلاميذ الصف السادس الإبتدائي. تكونت عينة الدراسة من (78) تلميذا: (38) تلميذا للمجموعة التجريبية، (40) للمجموعة الضابطة. وقد تم إعداد دليل للمعلم، كتيب للتلميذ، وتم إعداد أداتي الدراسة وهما: إختبار التفكير المتشعب وإختبار التحصيل في الرياضيات؛ وقد تم ضبطهما إحصائيا وتطبيقهما بعديا على التلاميذ مجموعتى البحث. أشارت نتائج الدراسة إلى فاعلية الإستراتيجية المقترحة في تنمية مهارات التفكير المتشعب والتحصيل في الرياضيات لدي تلاميذ الصف السادس الإبتدائي. وفي ضوء هذه النتائج يوصي الباحث بضرورة تدريب المعلمين على استخدام الإستراتيجية المقترحة في تدريس الرياضيات بصفة عامة ومادة الهندسة بصفة خاصة. The current research aimed to discover the effectiveness of the use of a suggested strategy in developing divergent thinking skills and mathematics achievement of 6th grade primary stage pupils. The researcher prepared these tools (a teacher guide, a pupils’ book, an achievement test, divergent thinking test). The sample of the study consist of (78) of 6th year primary stage pupils. It assigned to an experimental group (38) and a control one where each consist of (40) students. The experimental groups were taught by the suggested strategy. The control groups were taught by regular instruction. The results showed that using suggested strategy prove to be effective on developing divergent thinking skills and achievement in mathematics for the target study. The researcher recommended that the teachers should be trained in using of a suggested strategy in teaching geometry. (Published abstract)
