هدفت الدراسة إلى تحديد درجة توفر مهارات التخطيط الاستراتيجي لدى القيادات الأكاديمية، وتحديد مستوى الميزة التنافسية بجامعة الطائف من وجهة نظر أعضاء هيئة التدريس، والكشف عن العلاقة الارتباطية حول توفر درجة مهارات التخطيط الاستراتيجي لدى القيادات الأكاديمية ومستوى الميزة التنافسية بجامعة الطائف من وجهة نظر أعضاء هيئة التدريس، ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة استخدمت الباحثة المنهج الوصفي الارتباطي، وقد تم استخدام الاستبانة لجمع البيانات من عينة الدراسة التي تكونت من أعضاء هيئة التدريس الحاصلين على درجة الدكتوراه بجامعة الطائف، حيث بلغ عددهم (335). توصلت الدراسة إلى النتائج التالية: 1) إن درجة توافر مهارات التخطيط الاستراتيجي لدى القيادات الأكاديمية ومستوى الميزة التنافسية بجامعة الطائف من وجهة نظر أعضاء هيئة التدريس جاءت بدرجة توافر (عالية). 2) توجد علاقة طردية ما بين (متوسطة/ قوية) بين مهارات التخطيط الاستراتيجي ككل وبين الميزة التنافسية ككل. The study aimed to determine the degree of the availability of strategic planning skills among academic leaders, and to identify the level of competitive advantage At Taif University from the point of view of faculty members. It also aimed to investigate the correlational relationship between the degree of the availability of strategic planning skills among the academic leaders and the level of competitive advantage at Taif University from the point of view of faculty members. To achieve study aims, the researcher used the descriptive correlational approach. A questionnaire was used to collect data from the study sample that consisted of 335 faculty members who obtained a Ph.D. degree at Taif University, as their number reached (335). The study reached the following results: 1) The degree of availability of strategic planning skills among academic leaders and the level of competitive advantage at Taif University from the faculty members’ point of view was high. 2) There is a medium to strong direct relationship between the strategic planning skills as a whole and the competitive advantage as a whole.
