هدف هذا المقال إلى بيان أهمية الذكاء الإنفعالي وأثره في الحياة المهنية في مجال التربية الفكرية، ومن خلاله تم استعراض مفهوم الذكاء الإنفعالي، والنماذج المفسرة له والتي تنحصر في اتجاهين هما: اتجاه نموذج القدرة، ومن أصحاب هذا الاتجاه (Salovey & Caruso)، (Salovey & Mayer)، في مقابل النماذج المختلطة أو ما تسمى بنماذج السمات، ومن أصحاب هذا الاتجاه (Bar-on)، (Goleman)، كما تم توضيح أهم أساليب قياس الذكاء الإنفعالي والتي تحددت بثلاثة أساليب هي: مقاييس القدرة، ومقاييس التقرير الذاتي، ومقاييس تقدير الملاحظين أو المحيطين. This article aimed to clarify the importance of "Emotional Intelligence" and its impact on the professional life, in the field of Mental Impairment Education. Through This article, we reviewed the concept of "Emotional Intelligence" and its interpreting models that were framed into two aspects, the first one the "Ability Models" Which was adopted by Salovey, Mayer and Caruso, "Mixed Models" Which is also called "Characteristics Models" that was adopted by Bar-on and Goleman. The article also clarified the most important methods of measuring "Emotional Intelligence" which were identified through three methods as followed; Ability measures, Self- report measures and Observer- rating measures.
