The study aimed to evaluate the content of the biology book grade 9, first semester from the perspective of biology teachers. It is the new syllabus adopted by the Sultanate of Oman according to the Cambridge curriculum standards. To achieve the goals of the study, the researcher used the descriptive (analytical) methods, on a sample of (18) grade 9 biology teachers. The researcher prepared a tool for evaluating the content in terms of 3 main parts: 1) content (includes 17 phrases for measuring this part). 2) Language of instruction and presentation style (includes 7 phrases for measuring this part). 3) Book layout (includes 8 phrases for measuring this part). The outcomes showed that the tool has a stability degree of (0.938) according to the (Cronbach’s alpha) standard which has an average and the standard deviation for each part as follows: first part: (content): it has an average of (1.826) and a standard deviation of (0.540). The second part: (language of instruction and presentation style): it has an average of (1.484) and a standard deviation of (0.477). Third part: (book layout): it has an average of (1.458) and a standard deviation of (0.381). The teachers showed also by the quick response to the evaluation tool that they are not satisfied with the new curriculum for some reasons. For example, they do not have the enough experience to deal with the new curriculum. Also, they were not trained on the methods that they have to follow in order to achieve the objectives/ learning outcomes. The study recommended to continue the curriculum improvement according to new directions of the country and the future plans. Furthermore, it recommended to do workshops for teachers about the new methods that they have to follow in order to achieve the objectives/learning outcomes, which will increase the level of achievement of the objectives. Also, it recommended to evaluate the new curriculum that applied on different educational stages, and identify the strengths to develop it, while identify the weaknesses to treat it.
