تناول البحث مفهوم الحوسبة السحابية واستخدامها لتطوير انظمة التعليم الإلكتروني بالسودان (دراسة حالة جامعة السودان المفتوحة). تعتبر التكلفة المادية لشراء اجهزة حاسوب والمعدات المادية الأخرى وكذلك صعوبة تعامل الطالب مع الانظمة الإلكترونية الخاصة بجامعة السودان المفتوحة في حالة تعطل السيرفر من اهم الاسباب التي دعت لتلك الدراسة. تهدف الدراسة الي التعرف بتقنية الحوسبة السحابية ودورها في تطوير التعليم الإلكتروني. استخدمت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي العلمي التطبيقي. ومن اهم نتائج الدراسة وضع النظام على سحابة الكترونية ساعد في تسهيل بعض التعاملات الخاصة بالطلاب كذلك قلت التكلفة المادية بالنسبة للجامعة. من اهم توصيات الدراسة على جامعة السودان المفتوحة ان تحجز مساحة سحابية ذات موثوقية عالية وضمانات وذلك حفاظا على البيانات من السرقة او الاتلاف او غير ذلك والعمل على تطبيق مفهوم الحوسبة السحابية في كل أنشطتها الأكاديمية. This thesis presents the concept of cloud computing and how it is used so as to develop the educational systems in Sudan, study case in Sudan Open University. There are many reasons lead to carry out this study such as the high financial cost to buy computers and other the other necessary equipment’s. Moreover, the difficulty that the students face, in Open Sudan University, when they use the electronic system, particularly when the server is damaged. The study provides an image which illustrates the techniques of cloud computing and its role to develop the electronic education. The method that is used in this study is the applied descriptive scientific method. The most important findings are that using cloud computing in educational system will facilitate all procedures that concern students besides reducing financial cost of the university. Finally, the study recommendations are that the Sudan Open University has to apply cloud computing with high reliability, assurance and security that keeps data safe from theft, damage or other harms, besides the application of cloud computing in all academic systems in the university.
