هدف الدراسة إلى تحديد مبررات تطوير المناهج وأهم سمات مجتمع المعرفة. وتعرف الوضع الراهن لمناهج الرياضيات بالمرحلة الابتدائية بدولة الكويت في مجتمع المعرفة. وتعرف متطلبات مجتمع المعرفة من مناهج الرياضيات من وجهة نظر معلمي المرحلة الابتدائية بدولة الكويت. استخدمت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي. انتهت نتائج الدراسة إلى موافقة عينة الدراسة من معلمي الرياضيات بالمرحلة الابتدائية على عبارات الاستبانة بدرجة عالية، بما يؤكد الحاجة الماسة لمراجعة مناهج الرياضيات حتى تساير التحديات التي يفرضها العصر الرقمي الراهن. كما قدمت الدراسة تصورا مقترحا لتطوير مناهج الرياضيات بدولة الكويت في ضوء متطلبات مجتمع المعرفة. The aim of this study is determining the justification for curriculum development and the most important characteristics of the knowledge society. It defines the current status of mathematics curricula in Kuwait's primary stage in the knowledge society, and the requirements of knowledge society from the mathematics curriculum in viewpoint of primary school teachers in Kuwait. The study used the descriptive approach. The results of the study reached the approval of the study sample of mathematics teachers in the primary stage on the expressions of questionnaire at a high level, which confirms the urgent need to review the curriculum of mathematics to comply with the challenges imposed by the current digital age. The study also presented a suggested vision for the development of mathematics curricula in Kuwait in light of the requirements of the knowledge society. (Published abstract)
