هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى التعرف على طبيعة العلاقة بين كل من (التعاطف، والامتنان) والإيثار لدى عينة من الطلاب المتفوقين دراسيا، كما هدفت تلك الدراسة إلى التعرف على مدى إسهام كل من (التعاطف والامتنان) في التنبؤ بالإيثار لدى عينة من الطلاب المتفوقين دراسيا، حيث تكونت عينة الدراسة من (70) طالب وطالبة من المتفوقين دراسيا بمرحلة التعليم الثانوي ممن تتراوح أعمارهم ما بين (15-18) عام، طبق عليهم مقياس التعاطف (إعداد الباحث)، ومقياس الامتنان (إعداد الباحث)، ومقياس الإيثار (إعداد الباحث)، وتوصلت النتائج إلى وجود علاقة ذات دلالة إحصائية بين كل من (التعاطف، والامتنان) وبين الإيثار لدى الطلاب المتفوقين دراسيا، كما كشفت النتائج عن مساهمة كل من التعاطف والامتنان في التنبؤ بالإيثار لدى عينة الطلاب المتفوقين دراسيا، وأوضحت النتائج عدم وجود فروق بين الذكور والإناث في كل من (التعاطف الإيثار - الامتنان). This study aimed to identify the correlation between (Empathy, Gratitude) and Altruism, and identify. The role of empathy and gratitude in predicting altruism for outstanding students, and also, explained the differences of gender of outstanding students in the variables study. The sample of the study contain (17) outstanding students. This study depended on three scales: 1) Empathy scale (Prepared by the researcher). 2) Gratitude scale (Prepared by the researcher). 3) Altruism scale (Prepared by the researcher). The results of the study concluded that there is a statistically significant positive correlation between (Empathy - Gratitude), and Altruism among outstanding students and the results show empathy and gratitude contribute to the prediction of altruism for outstanding students. The results show there are no significant differences in (Empathy – Altruism - Gratitude) were found between males and females students. (Published abstract)
