هدف البحث إلى تحديد المعوقات التي تواجه الأداء الإداري للإدارة المدرسية في التعليم الثانوي العام والديني في دولة الكويت. ومن أجل تحقيق هذا الهدف تناول البحث طبيعة الإدارة المدرسية في التعليم الثانوي في الكويت سواء التعليم العام أو التعليم الديني، وتحليل الدراسات والأدبيات التي تناولت هذه المعوقات. وحدد البحث أهم هذه المعوقات بالنسبة للتعليم العام في ضعف مستوى الإدارة التعليمية والمدرسية حيث يغلب عليها النمط المركزي في أداء العمل، وسيطرة النزعة الفردية فى اتخاذ القرار، أما معوقات الإدارة المدرسية في التعليم الثانوي الديني تتحدد في قلة الكوادر الإدارية ممايؤثر سلبا على إدارة المعاهد الدينية وتلبية احتياجاتها، وكثرة أعباء مراقبي الشئون الإدارية والمالية والأنشطة التعليمية. The aim of the current research was to identify the obstacles facing the school administration in religious and general secondary education in the state of Kuwait. In order to achieve this aim, the research investigated the nature of school administration in the secondary education in Kuwait, whether general education or religious education, and analyzed the studies and literature that dealt with these obstacles. With regard to public education, the research identified the most important of these obstacles in the weak level of educational as well as school administrations, because they are dominated by centralization in the performance of work, and the control of individualism in decision-making. As for the obstacles to the school administration in religious secondary education, they are determined in the lack of administrative staff, which negatively affects the administration of religious institutes and the fulfillment of their needs, in addition to the large burdens of supervisors of administrative and financial affairs and educational activities.
