هدفت الدراسة إلى تعرف على مدى ممارسة التمكين الإداري لدى مدراء مدارس التعليم العام في دولة الكويت، وأهم المعوقات التي تحول دون تمكينهم للقيام بوظائفهم، واعتمدت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، واستخدمت الاستبانة لجمع البيانات اللازمة، حيث وزعت على عينة عشوائية قدرها (180) مديراً، استجاب منهم (175) مديرا ومديرة (97.2%) وقد تم تحليل البيانات من خلال برنامج التحليل الإحصائية (SPSS). وتوصلت الدراسة إلى أن درجة ممارسة مدراء المدارس من عينة الدراسة الأبعاد التمكين (تفويض السلطة، التحفيز الذاتي، العمل الجماعي، التنمية المهنية، السلوك الإبداعي) جاءت بدرجة عالية، في حين درجة ممارستهم لبعد المشاركة في اتخاذ القرارات جاءت متوسطة، وقد تم وضع بعض المقترحات لإنجاح تطبيق مفهوم التمكين في مدارس التعليم العام بدولة الكويت. The study aimed to know the extent of the practice of administrative empowerment among principals of public education schools in the State of Kuwait, and the most important obstacles that prevent them from being empowered to carry out their jobs. Of them (175) managers and managers (97.2%) responded, and the data were analyzed through the statistical analysis program (SPSS). The study found that the degree of practice of school principals from the study sample of the empowerment dimensions (delegation of authority, self-motivation, teamwork, professional development, creative behavior) was high, while the degree of their practice of the dimension of participation in decision-making was moderate, and some proposals were made. To successfully implement the concept of empowerment in public education schools in the State of Kuwait. (Published abstract)
