هدف هذا البحث إلى تقصي فاعلية استخدام استراتيجيات غير تقليدية قائمة على حل المشكلات الرياضية لتنمية إدراك العلاقات الهندسية والتمثيل والقياس الهندسي لدى تلاميذ الصف الثاني الإعدادي بمحافظة كفر الشيخ، وتكونت عينة البحث من (60) تلميذا تم تقسيمهم إلى مجموعتين: مجموعة تجريبية وبلغ عددها (30) تلميذا درسوا باستخدام بعض استراتيجيات حل المشكلات الرياضية، ومجموعة ضابطة بلغ عددها (30) تلميذا درسوا بالطريقة المعتادة، وتم إعداد أداة البحث وهي اختبار في إدراك العلاقات الهندسية، التمثيل والقياس الهندسي، وأظهرت النتائج فاعلية الاستراتيجيات غير التقليدية القائمة على حل المشكلات الرياضية لتنمية إدراك العلاقات الهندسية والتمثيل والقياس الهندسي لدى تلاميذ المرحلة الإعدادية بمحافظة كفر الشيخ. This research aims to investigate effectiveness of using unconventional strategies based on solving mathematical problems for developing understanding geometric relationships, geometric representation and measurement among second year prep students in Kafrelsheikh. The research sample consisted of (60) students, divided into two groups: experimental group included (30) students who learned mathematics using some of mathematical problem solving strategies, control group, included (30) students who learned mathematics according to the usual method, one tool was used in this research: a test of understanding geometric relationships, geometric representation and measurement The results of this research showed that effectiveness of using unconventional strategies based on solving mathematical problems for developing understanding geometric relationships, geometric representation and measurement among second year prep students in Kafrelsheikh.
