هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على فاعلية برنامج الحساب الذهني باستخدام العداد الصيني في تنمية التحصيل لمقرر الرياضيات لدى طالبات الصف الثاني الابتدائي، وتتمثل مشكلة الدراسة في السؤال الرئيس التالي: ما فاعلية برنامج الحساب الذهني باستخدام العداد الصيني في تنمية التحصيل لمقرر الرياضيات لدى طالبات الصف الثاني الابتدائي؟ ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة أستخدم المنهج التجريبي ذو التصميم شبه التجريبي، وبلغ حجم عينة الدراسة (40) طالبة من طالبات الصف الثاني الابتدائي، خلال الفصل الدراسي الأول من عام 1440-1441ه في الابتدائية (225) الحكومية، وتتكون من المجموعة التجريبية وعددها (20) طالبة، طبق برنامج الحساب الذهني باستخدام العداد الصيني عليهن، بينما درست المجموعة الضابطة -وعددها (20) طالبة- بالطريقة الاعتيادية. وقد أعدت الباحثة لهدا الفرض اختبارا تحصيليا بلغ عدد مفرداته (19)، تم إعداده لقياس مستوى تحصيل طالبات الصف الثاني الابتدائي في مستويات المجال المعرفي (المعرفة- التطبيق- الاستدلال)، كما تم إعداد دليل المعلم، بالإضافة إلى إعداد كتاب تمارين للطالب، وطبقت الأداة على المجموعتين (التجريبية والضابطة) قبليا وبعديا، وبعد المعالجة الإحصائية اتضح عدم وجود فرق ذي دلالة إحصائية بين المجموعتين التجريبية والضابطة في التطبيق البعدي لدرجة مستوى المعرفة لصالح المجموعة التجريبية، ووجود فرق ذي دلالة إحصائية بين المجموعتين التجريبية والضابطة في التطبيق البعدي لدرجة مستوى التطبيق ودرجة مستوى الاستدلال والدرجة الكلية للاختبار التحصيلي لصالح المجموعة التجريبية. وفي ضوء ما توصلت إليه الدراسة من نتائج؛ فقد أوصت بتضمين وحدات دراسية لبرنامج الحساب الذهني باستخدام العداد الصيني في مناهج رياض الأطفال ومناهج الرياضيات للمرحلة الابتدائية، وتقترح الباحثة تطبيق البرنامج لقياس مهارات تفكير عليا، مثل: مهارة حل المشكلة، ومهارة التفكير الناقد، ومهارات التفكير الإبداعي. The study aimed to identify the effectiveness of the mental calculating program using the Chinese counter to develop mathematics achievement for primary school students. The study purpose was to answer the following main question: what is the effectiveness of the mental calculating program using the Chinese counter in developing mathematics achievement for primary school students? To achieve the aims of the study, the experimental approach with quasi-experimental design was used. The study sample size was (40) students from the second-grade students during the first semester of the year 1440-1441 in the 225th primary school. The mental calculation program was applied by using the Chinese counter on the experimental group (20 students), while the control group (20 students) studied in the traditional way. For this purpose, the researcher prepared an achievement test with a number of (19) items, prepared to measure the level of achievement of second-grade students levels of the cognitive field (knowledge - application - reasoning); the teacher’s guide was prepared as well as an exercise book for the student. The two groups (experimental and control) had pre- and post-tests. After statistical treatment, it was found that: There were no statistically significant differences at the experimental and control groups in the post-application of the Knowledge in favor of the experimental group. There were statistically significant differences the experimental and control groups in the post-application of the application, reasoning and the total scores in the achievement test in favor of the experimental group. In the light of the results, the researcher recommends the inclusion of units of mental calculating program using the Chinese counter in kindergarten curricula and mathematics curricula for the elementary stage; and applying the program to measure higher thinking skills such as problem-solving skill, critical thinking skill and creative thinking skills.
