هدفت الورقة إلى إبراز تجربة وحدة حماية الأسرة والطفل السودانية في حماية الطفولة ورعايتها. كما هدفت إلى إبراز الإطار النظري والتطبيقي الذي تعمل من خلاله الوحدة، وقد تناول الباحث تأسيس ونشأة الوحدة إضافة إلى المبادئ العامة، الأهمية، الإجراءات التشريعية المساندة لها، ملامح عن قانون الطفل 2010، إختصاصات الوحدة، الخدمات التي تقدمها، وكيفية وصول الحالات إلى الوحدة. وتوصل الباحث إلى أن تجربة وحدة حماية الأسرة والطفل هي تجربة رائدة، تتفق في قوانينها مع الوسط الإقليمي والدولي، كما تراعي العرف المحلي، كما أن خدماتها متكاملة وتتميز بالتخصصية في العمل والإهتمام بتطوير وترقية الأداء. The aim of this paper was to highlight the experience of the Sudanese child and family protection unit in the protection and care of children and to highlight the theoretical and practical framework through which unity works. The researcher discussed the establishment and emergence of the unit in addition to the general principles of 2010, the specialties of the unit, the services it provides, and how to access cases to the unit. The researcher concluded that the experience of the Family Protection and Child Protection Unit is a pioneering experiment in accordance with its laws with the regional and international environment. It also takes into account local customs and its integrated services and is characterized by specialization in work and attention to develop and enhance performance. (Published abstract)
