هدفت الدراسة إلى تعرف درجة ممارسة وظائف العملية الإدارية لدى رؤساء الأقسام في مديريات التربية والتعليم في الأردن من وجهة نظرهم، وأثر كل من المؤهل العلمي، والخبرة، في درجة الممارسة. طُبَقت أداة على عينة مكونة من 442 فردا. أظهرت النتائج أن درجة ممارسة وظائف العملية الإدارية كانت: التخطيط، والتنظيم، والتوجيه، والرقابة، واتخاذ القرارات، والتقييم بدرجة عالية لدى رؤساء الأقسام في مديريات التربية والتعليم من وجهة نظرهم حيث جاءت المتوسطات لمجالات ممارسة وظائف العملية الإدارية مرتبة تنازلياً كما يأتي: مجال التوجيه، ومجال التقييم، ومجال التخطيط، ومجال اتخاذ القرارات ، ومجال التنظيم ومجال الرقابة. بينت النتائج أيضا أن هناك فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في إجابات أفراد العينة على فقرات الأداة تعزى إلى متغير المؤهل العلمي، وهي لصالح مؤهل الدكتوراه، في حين لم يظهر أثر لمتغير الخبرة. The research aimed to identify the degree of application to managerial functions by the heads of departments in the directorates of education in Jordan from their point of view, and the effect of academic qualification and experience. To achieve the aim of the study, the tools study was applied on a sample consisted of (442) persons. The validity of the tool was assessed by specialists in the fields of educational administration and educational science. The reliability coefficients for the tool was computed using the (Test-Retest method) and Cronbach's alpha equation. Reliability was found to be 83% and 80%. The researchers used means, two- way ANOVA, and scheffe's test. The results of the research were as follows: 1) The degree of application to managerial functions by the heads of departments was high as follows: directing (4.33), evaluation (4.30), planning (4.24), decision- making (4.20), organizing (4.13) and controlling (4.12). 2) There were statistically significant differences at (a=0.05) in the application of managerial functions attributed to academic qualification in favor of the doctorate holders and there weren't any effect to the experience. The researchers suggested some recommendations of the study: 1) The necessity of promoting the awareness of different styles of controlling through running a program training courses in controlling on managerial functions. 2) Promoting the awareness of heads of departments in the directorates of education of controlling systems and information through participating in training courses.
