History ought to be transmitted with integrity and honesty, as it aids in fortifying the identity and persona of societies. History courses are essential in the intellectual and epistemic development of students; however, existing curricula are now considered as a burden on students’ semesters due to its rigidity and mundanity. Is it therefore possible to raise educational standards as to transform curricula from book pages to a culture that allows for transgenerational construction of knowledge? The aim is to grant students the ability to develop their intellectual and critical skills through in-depth approaches, verification, research and observation leading to formulation of hypotheses, i.e. acknowledging the sources of knowledge and their nature and not simply the recollection of memorized facts. A teacher would then ask his students to autonomously extract concepts from studied concepts and internalize them through their personal experiences, rather than him laying out the information by a routine of indoctrination. Educational efficiency demands the search for the best teacher with respect to the latter’s influence on students inside a class. This paper sheds light on the key factors in affecting a competent teacher: First, being understanding, flexible and democratic. Second, being hard-working, organized and holds responsibility. Third, having a capacity for adaptability and stimulation, an open soul and mind. Fourth, keeping a decent appearance, voice and style. Conclusion: Educators have wronged in adopting the traditional methods of presenting ‘pre-packaged’ instant information, where they presented learners with knowledge but not the skills of thought. The purpose of interactive education is to allow students to gain the ability of self-discovery. To achieve this, it is crucial to select educators with creative characteristics and qualities, such as curiosity, optimism, patience, self-confidence, trust in students’ potential and thinking capacities, examination and verification. This comes in addition to supplementing new techniques through an educational methodology that takes contemporary reformation and development into consideration. (Published abstract)
