The main object of research to identify the categories of beneficiaries from the sources of information provided by university libraries (the research sample) through the way of mental thinking during the traditional and electronic circulation processes, in addition to that the goal of the research is to know the phenomenon of clustering during the exploration of data through the use of the clustering algorithm for the categories and their graduation And the importance of the research comes in determining the groups that most think about the mental methods used in loaning operations to access information from its sources. The descriptive-survey method was used in the process of collecting data and information from the records of secondment in the library of the College of Basic Education / Al-Mustansiriyah University. In addition, the analytical descriptive approach was used by analyzing the data collected from the research sample represented by the beneficiaries from the library of the College of Basic Education of Al-Mustansiriyah University for a period of 1 9-2020 to 1-11-2020. By relying on the records for circulation, the research reached a set of results, the most important of which are: 1) Successful use of the K-means algorithm to analyze beneficiaries' trends and future predictability of groups. 2) The k-means algorithm allows the analysis of data, however large, to assist decision makers in their daily work and future planning. Through the results, several recommendations were developed that relate to the topic of research, the most important of which are: 1) The necessity of working on using data mining techniques in the administrative work of scientific institutions to analyze work data for longer periods. To assist them in future planning. 2) Carrying out similar studies using the same algorithm to analyze other business joints within information institutions (libraries for example) such as reference citations analysis and intellectual production, and achieving budgets within the library collection.
