The concept of metacognition is one of the components of the concept of metacognition, and it is one of the most complex cognitive mental processes that require making judgments about learning and predicting the future related to texts, preserving and interpreting them. As for self-efficacy, it is one of the important issues that contribute to the success of individuals and their achievement of the various tasks that they perform. This study aimed to examine the relationship between the accuracy of the metacognition and the effectiveness of the self among graduate students of Al-Mustansiriya University? The sample consisted of 160 students who study at the College of Basic Education, Al-Mustansiriya University during the 2020-2021 academic year, and they were chosen randomly. In order to achieve the objectives of the study, the two researchers used two measures, the first to measure accuracy beyond comprehension, and the second to measure self-efficacy. The study indicated that there is a medium level of subtlety beyond comprehension and self-efficacy among graduate students. The results also showed that there were no statistically significant differences in the precision beyond comprehension variable. And the absence of differences depending on the gender variable and the presence of statistically significant differences in self-efficacy. The results also showed the existence of a statistically significant positive relationship between the accuracy of metacognition and self-efficacy. The study recommended the implementation of training activities that contribute to the employment of skills beyond comprehension and the building of training programs that develop the accuracy of beyond comprehension among students.
