هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على واقع المشاركة المجتمعية لمؤسسات المجتمع المحلي في مجال التنمية المهنية لأعضاء هيئة التدريس بكلية التربية جامعة الكويت، وقد اتبعت الدراسة المنهج المسحي الوصفي، ولتحقيق هذا الهدف استُخدمت استبانة مكونة من ثلاثة محاور، بحيث يشمل المحور الأول بنود تقيس درجة مساهمة المشاركة المجتمعية لمؤسسات المجتمع المحلي في دعم أعضاء هيئة التدريس لتحقيق الأهداف الخاصة بمجال التدريس. بينما يشمل المحور الثاني بنود تقيس درجة مساهمة المشاركة المجتمعية لمؤسسات المجتمع المحلي في دعم أعضاء هيئة التدريس لتحقيق الأهداف الخاصة بمجال البحث العلمي. وأخيراً يشمل المحور الثالث بنود تقيس درجة مساهمة المشاركة المجتمعية لمؤسسات المجتمع المحلي في دعم أعضاء هيئة التدريس لتحقيق الأهداف الخاصة بمجال خدمة المجتمع، وتكونت عينة الدراسة من (80) عضو هيئة التدريس، يمثلون (64%) من المجتمع الكلي. وأظهرت نتائج الدراسة أن واقع المشاركة المجتمعية لمؤسسات المجتمع المحلي في مجال التنمية المهنية بكلية التربية جامعة الكويت جاء بدرجة متوسطة (3.04). وكذلك بالنسبة للمجالات الثلاثة، وبترتيب مجالاتها تنازلياً: خدمة المجتمع، التدريس، البحث العلمي. وأشارت النتائج إلى وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى ((0.05 تعزى لأثر متغير النوع بمجالي (التدريس، والبحث العلمي) لصالح الإناث، وكذلك وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية لمتغير الرتبة الأكاديمية بالمجالين (مجال التدريس، وخدمة المجتمع) لصالح رتبة (أستاذ مساعد) عند مستوى دلالة أقل من (0.05)، فيما لم تكن هناك فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية لمتغيري القسم العلمي وسنوات الخدمة. The study aimed at identifying the reality of community participation of the local community institutions in the field of professional development for faculty members at the Faculty of Education, Kuwait University. The study followed the descriptive survey approach. In order to achieve this goal, a questionnaire consisting of three axes was used, so that the first axis includes items that measure the degree of community participation of local community institutions in supporting faculty members to achieve the goals related to the field of teaching. While the second axis includes items that measure the degree of community participation of local community institutions in supporting faculty members in order to achieve the goals related to field of scientific research. Finally, the third axis includes items that measure the degree of community participation of local community institutions in supporting faculty members to achieve the goals related to the field of community service. The study sample consisted of (80) faculty members representing (64%) of the total community. The results of the study showed that the reality of the community participation of local community institutions in the field of professional development at the Faculty of Education, Kuwait University came at a medium degree (3.04). The same applies to the three fields, in descending order: community service, teaching, and scientific research. The results indicated that there were three differences of statistical significant at the level (0.05) due to the effect of the gender variable in the fields of (teaching and scientific research) in favor of females, as well as the presence of statistical significant differences for the academic rank variable in two fields (the field of teaching and community service) in favor of the rank of (Assistant Professor). At the level of significance less than (0.05), while there were no differences of statistical significant for the variables of scientific department and years of service. (Author’s abstract)
