The present study aims at investigating The Effectiveness of a Counseling Program Using Self-Talk in the Development of the Emotional Organization among Orphan Female Students in the Intermediate Stage through testing the following hypotheses: 1) There were no statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.05) between the levels of control group scores in the two tests (pretest-posttest). 2) There were no statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.05) between the levels of experimental group scores in the two tests (pretest-posttest). 3) There were no statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.05) between the levels of control and experimental group scores in posttest. 4) There were no statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.05) between the grades of the experimental group and the successive group scores in the test -postponed. The current study is limited to the orphans in the intermediate stage in intermediate and secondary schools of the Directorate General of Education in Diyala Governorate in the center of the city of Baqubah / morning study / for the academic year (2018-2019). To achieve the objective of the study and test hypotheses, the researcher used the experimental method (experimental group and control group with a pre- and posttest). The study sample consisted of (20) female students of orphans in the intermediate stage randomly distributed in two groups (experimental group) and (control group). They were deliberately selected from the students who obtained the lowest grades from the mean on the emotional regulation scale. (10) students in each group. The equivalence of the two groups was carried out in a number of variables (students' scores on the emotional regulation scale, academic achievement of the mother, profession of the mother, caregiver of the student, residence ownership, IQ test, birth sequence, age calculated by months, the duration of the loss). The researcher built two tools used to achieve the goal of research: 1) Building the measure of emotional regulation consisted of (27) items in which the validity of the measure through face validity was investigated, where it was presented to a group of arbitrators in psychology, psychological guidance, educational guidance, measurement and evaluation, and obtained 100% of the validity of the scale of the application and, thus achieved the apparent truth, reliability was found in two ways is retesting (0.80), and in a manner equivalent, Cronbach Alfa of internal consistency has reached (0.77). 2) Constructing a counseling program according to self-talk approach, and verifying the truthfulness (counseling method) through face validity, by presenting it to a group of experts in guidance and counseling. The course consists of (11) instructional sessions and (2 sessions) per week (45 minutes), except for the opening and closing session, which reached (60) minutes. The following statistical methods were used: Pearson correlation coefficient, Mann Whitney test, Lukoxin test, Chi-square, weighted mean, percent weight, Cronbach Alfa equation, and Kolmogorov-Smirnov test. The results showed that the method of self - talking is effective in developing the emotional organization of the female students in the intermediate stage. In light of the study findings and conclusions, the researcher presented several recommendations and suggestions. (Published abstract)
