This research aims to identify “The Social Communication Skills among University Students” and the statistical significant differences in social communication skills according to the variable of gender (male- female) and specialization (scientific-human). To achieve the aims of the research, the researchers built the scale of social communication skills according to the model (Regio, 1986). The scale was applied to a sample of (400 male and female) students at University of Diyala selected in a proportional random class manner. The data of the study were statistically processed using (T-test for one sample, T-test for two independent samples, Pearson Correlation coefficient, and Alpha Cronbach Equation). The research came to the following conclusions that the research sample has ahigh level of social communication skills compared to the theoretical average of the scale. There were no statistical significant differences according to gender in social communication skills, but there statistically significant differences according to specialization (scientific-human), it is stronger in human specialization, because their community is more harmonic and interactive. In the light of the results the research came without some recommendations and suggestions. (Published abstract)
