يهدف البحث الى التعرف على مستوى التشوهات المعرفية لدى طلاب المرحلة المتوسطة واستعمل الباحث منهج البحث الوصفي وتألف مجتمع البحث من طلاب المرحة المتوسطة في المدارس الحكومية البالغ عددها (17) مدرسة التابعة لمديرية تربية ديالى في مركز قضاء بعقوبة وبلغ عدد طلابها (7513) طالب وتم تطبيق المقياس على عينة تألفت من (400) طالب من (4) مدارس تم اختيارهم بالطريقة العشوائية الطبقية ولتحقيق هدف البحث قام الباحث ببناء مقياس التشوهات المعرفية والذي تكون من (32) فقرة وتم التحقق من صدق المقياس من خلال الصدق الظاهري ومن مؤشرات التحليل الاحصائي للفقرات وأما الثبات فقد تم استخراجه عن طريق إعادة الاختبار وبلغ (0.80) وبطريقة الفاكرونباخ وبلغ (0.78) وتم استخدام الوسائل الاحصائية في معالجة البيانات منها (الاختبار التائي - معامل ارتباط بيرسون - الفاكرونباخ - مربع كا2- إعادة الاختبار) وأظهرت نتائج المقياس على وجود التشوهات المعرفية لدى عينة البحث وقد خرج الباحث بعدد من التوصيات والمقترحات. The current study aims at investigating the level of Cognitive Distortions among Intermediate School Students. The researcher used descriptive research methodology. The research community consisted of intermediate school students in the 17 public schools affiliated to the Directorate of Education in Diyala in the center of the district of Baqubah with (7513) students. The scale was applied to a sample consisting of (400) students out of (4) schools selected by a random class method. To achieve the goal of the research, the researcher built a measure of cognitive distortions, which are (32) items. The validity of the scale has been verified by face validity and indicators of the statistical analysis of the items. Stability was obtained by retesting (0.80) and Cronbach (0.78). Statistical methods were used in the treatment of the data (T-test - Pearson-Cronbach correlation coefficient - Chi square-retest) For the research sample, the researcher came up with a number of recommendations, and suggestions.
