هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى اقتراح تصور يتضمن جهود بعض العلماء المسلمين في تطور علم الأحياء، واقتراح مصفوفة مدى وتتابع تتضمن هذه الجهود في مناهج العلوم في المرحلتين الإبتدائية والمتوسطة، ومناهج علم الأحياء في المرحلة الثانوية. تمثلت منهجية الدراسة في حصر الموضوعات الرئيسة في محور علم الأحياء في المراحل الثلاث الإبتدائية والمتوسطة والثانوية من خلال مصفوفة المدى والتتابع لهذا المحور، ثم تحديد الموضوعات التي يمكن تضمينها في هذه المصفوفة، والتي تمثل جهود أبرز العلماء المسلمين في مجال علم الأحياء التي يمكن أن تثري محتوى مناهج العلوم بعامة ومناهج علم الأحياء بخاصة، وتربط تاريخ العلم عند المسلمين بالتوجهات الحديثة لتطوير مناهج وطرائق تدريس العلوم في المملكة العربية السعودية. وتم تفسير ومناقشة نتائج الدراسة في ظل نتائج بعض الدراسات السابقة، وانتهت الدراسة ببعض التوصيات الموجهة للمعنيين بالتعليم بعامة والمناهج بخاصة، وبعض المقترحات الموجهة للباحثين في مجال البحث. The aim of this study was to propose a perception includes the efforts of some Muslim scholars in Biology development and suggesting scope and sequence matrix of these efforts to include them in the content of science curriculum at the elementary, middle, and high school Biology curricula. The methodology of this study was to determine the topics of biology in primary, middle and secondary levels through scope and sequence of these topics, and then select the topics that can be included in this matrix, which represents the efforts of prominent Muslim scholars in the field of biology that can inform the General Science and Biology curriculum content and methods of teaching science, history of science that link Islamic science with the modern trends in developing curriculum and methods of teaching science in Saudi Arabia. The results of the study were explained and discussed considering the results of some previous studies, some recommendations and suggestions addressed to those involved in education and curriculum development, and researchers in the field of this research.
