هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى معرفة العلاقة بين وجهة الضبط (الداخلية/ الخارجية) واحتمالية الانتحار لدى عينة من طالبات المرحلة المتوسطة بمدينة جدة، وتكونت عينة الدراسة من (95) طالبة من مدرستين من مدارس التعليم العام بمدينة جدة، تم اختيارهن بطريقة العينة العشوائية البسيطة بأعمار تتراوح من الثالثة عشرة حتى الخامسة عشرة بمتوسط عمري (14) عامًا، وطبق عليهن مقياس وجهة الضبط لعلاء كفافي (1982م)، ومقياس احتمالية الانتحار لعبد الرقيب البحيري (2003م)، وأشارت نتائج الدراسة إلى ما يلي: 1) عدم وجود علاقة ارتباطية دالة إحصائيًا بين وجهة الضبط (الداخلية/ الخارجية) واحتمالية الانتحار. 2) شيوع وجهة الضبط الداخلية لدى عينة الدراسة. 3) أن مستوى احتمالية الانتحار لدى طالبات المرحلة المتوسطة منخفضة. 3) شيوع بعد اليأس والتقييم المنخفض للذات كأحد أبعاد احتمالية الانتحار بدرجة مرتفعة لدى عينة الدراسة. This study aimed to know the relationship between the (internal/ external) locus of control and the possibility of suicide among a sample of middle school students in Jeddah, the study sample consisted of (95) students from two public school in Jeddah, who were chosen with ages ranging 12-15 with average (14) years, and the scale of the locus of control was applied to them (Alaa Alkafafi 1982) and a measure of suicide probability (Adburraqeeb Albuhairy 2003) and the results of the study indicated the following: 1) There is no related statistically relationship between the locus of control (Internal/ external) and the possibility of suicide. 2) The spreading of internal locus of control in the study sample. 3) The level of suicide risk for intermediate school students was low. 4) Commonness of despair and low self-evaluation as one of the possibility of suicide dimensions with a high level in the study sample.
