هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى التعرف على درجة مساهمة المجالس المدرسية في دعم صناعة القرار من وجهة نظر القيادات التربوية في ظل التحول نحو اللامركزية والاستقلال أو الإدارة الذاتية للمدرسة. وتكونت عينة الدراسة من (66) من القيادات التربوية في الإدارة العامة للتعليم بمنطقة القصيم، واستخدمت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي الكمي التحليلي، وكذلك استخدمت الاستبانة المنظمة كأداة للدراسة؛ والتي احتوت على (22) فقرة موزعة على أربعة مجالات وهي: "قيادة عمليات الإدارة" و"طاقم المدرسة" و"شؤون الطلاب" و"خدمة المجتمع المحلي". وكشفت النتائج أن تقديرات أفراد عينة الدراسة حول مساهمة المجالس المدرسية في صناعة القرار كانت متفاوتة؛ ففي مجال "قيادة عمليات الإدارة" كانت هذه المساهمة "كبيرة"، بينما كانت في مجالي "شؤون الطلاب" و"خدمة المجتمع المحلي" "متوسطة". وبالمقابل، كانت هذه المساهمة في مجال" طاقم المدرسة " قليلة". ولم تكشف الدراسة عن أي فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية تعزى لمتغير "النوع" أو "الخبرة" أو "عدد العاملين" بين استجابات أفراد عينة الدراسة. وفي الختام، أوصت الدراسة بتعزيز الصلاحيات الممكنة لمستوى المدرسة سواء على مستوى الصلاحيات أو الإمكانات المادية الداعمة، وكذلك تطبيق مبادئ الحوكمة والإدارة عليها وكذلك تقصي معوقات ذلك. This study aimed to identify the degree of contribution of school councils in supporting decision-making from the educational leader's perspective in light of the shift towards decentralization or School-based management. The quantitative descriptive analytical approach has been used as the study methodology. The study sample consisted of (66) school leaders from the general administration of education in the Qassim region. The structured questionnaire has been employed as the study instrument, which contained (22) paragraphs divided into four areas: "leadership of administration operations", "school staff", "student affairs" and "local community service". The findings of this study indicated that the contributions of school councils were varied according to participants' perspectives. It has been "Great" in "leadership of administration operations" while were ""Moderate" in "student affairs" and "local community service". In contrast, these contributions were "little" in dealing with "school staff". Furthermore, it has been found that there were no statistically significant differences between participants' responses depending on the study variables "Gender", "Experience" and " Number of employees". In conclusion, it has been recommended that the empowerment of school level should be supported and enhanced, and find out and deal with any obstacles. (Published abstract)
