هدفت الدراسة إلى اقتراح أهداف عامة لتعليم العلوم للمرحلة المتوسطة في ضوء معايير العلوم للجيل القادم NGSS ورؤية المملكة (2030)، ولتحقيق هدف الدراسة تم إتباع المنهج النوعي، وكذلك استخدام أحد أدواته لجمع البيانات وهي مجموعة التركيز، وبلغت مجموعة التركيز (10) من الخبراء في تعليم العلوم، وقسمت إلي مجموعتين، مجموعة التركيز الأولى وبلغ عددها (5) خبراء، أسند إليهم تحليل معايير العلوم للجيل القادم لاستنباط الأهداف العامة من توقعات الأداء. وتكونت مجموعة التركيز الثانية من (5) خبراء، أسند إليهم تحليل رؤية (2030)؛ لتحديد العبارات التي اهتمت بالتعليم والتعلم، ومن ثم اشتقاق الأهداف العامة منها، وقد مرت مجموعتي التركيز بعدد من المراحل إلى أن توصلت إلى الأهداف العامة لتعليم العلوم، وبعد ذلك عرضت الأهداف على مختصين في علم النفس والتربية الإسلامية؛ للتأكد من مواءمتها لخصائص نمو وحاجات المتعلمين وفلسفة التربية الإسلامية، وبهذا تم الحصول على (20) هدفاً عاماً مقترحاً لتعليم العلوم للمرحلة المتوسطة. وقدمت الدراسة عددا من التوصيات منها: مراجعة المحتوى وطرق التدريس وأساليب التقويم في مقررات العلوم المطورة للمرحلة المتوسطة في ضوء الأهداف العامة المقترحة، من قبل المهتمين بتطوير المناهج في وزارة التعليم. The study aimed at suggesting general goals to the teaching of science at the intermediate level in light of the science standards for the coming generation (NGSS) and 2030 vision in the Kingdom. To achieve the aims of the study the qualitative approach was used, also one of its tools was used to gather the data, was the concentration group. The concentration group consisted of (ten) experts in the teaching of science. The groups of experts were divided into two groups. The first concentration group consisted of (five) experts who were given to analyze the standards of science for the coming generation and to come up with the general goals from the performance expectations. The second concentration group consisted of (five) experts who were given to analyze the 2030 vision to determine the statements that were concerned with teaching and learning and then deriving the general goals from it. The two concentration groups went through a number of stages until they reached the general goals for the teaching of science. After that, the goals were exposed to specialists in psychology, and Islamic studies to make sure of its fitness with the development and needs of the learners and the educational Islamic philosophy. and with all this, (twenty) general suggested goals for the teaching of science for the intermediate level were obtained. The study presented a number of recommendations some of which are: reviewing the content and the methods of teaching and techniques of evaluation for the developed courses of science in the intermediate level, in light of the general suggested goals provided by those concerned with developing the curriculum in the ministry of education.
